Over the past 20 years I have practiced both TuiNa(chinese medical massage), and Thai bodywork. I love the tactile and intuitive nature of these modalities. As I grow older I have come to see that the more subtle approach of acupuncture, and specifically community acupuncture, is able to effectively treat many small symptoms that prevent larger disease and sustain good health at an affordable price so people can receive treatments more frequently. Community Acupuncture not only brings down the cost per treatments, it also allows us to rest deeply together and regain balance out of isolation. It has helped me personally feel more a part of the community, and specifically helped me work through deep grief and hormonal issues, as well as joint pain.

Over the past several years, I have traveled from Minneapolis, MN., to Portland, OR, to Asheville, NC, and now to Portland, ME. Each place holds great significance and history for me. The change in places has helped me to develop the understanding that people, and relationships, are the foundation of how life stays meaningful.  As a healer I need to continue my career by providing the best care possible to more people, without cost being a barrier. Community acupuncture is that answer.

I am board certified through NCCAOM and licensed by the state of Maine. My training was through the lens of trauma informed care therefore attuned to the individual. I have supported people experiencing a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, and insomnia, along with acute and chronic pain, digestive, menstrual, and hormonal changes, neuropathy, edema, and headaches.

I believe having a deeper connection with oneself can help lead to the changes we want to make and the health we are capable of. Acupuncture can provide relief from symptoms that impair our connection with self and others, which helps to create more clarity in our body and informs the decisions we make. Let’s work together to help you achieve your goals and feel better.
